Columbus College of Art & Design faculty are expert instructors who work hard in the classroom and out, logging time teaching and also remaining active in their creative pursuits. One recent example of this is Idyll Reserve, a vacation rental cofounded by Interior Architecture & Design Associate Professor and Chair Kelly DeVore, which opened in 2021 in the lush Hocking Hills area. Kelly DeVore; along with her husband Jay DeVore, an urban residential real estate developer; and her sister-in-law Laura DeVore, who brought a background in hospitality operations, worked together on the project, which was designed with an emphasis on sustainability along with contemporary good looks.
