Press takes note of new Cloyd Family Animation Center

Students work in CCAD's state-of-the-art dedicated stop-motion animation lab

The new Cloyd Family Animation Center at Columbus College of Art & Design opened in fall 2018, and the press are taking notice.

Columbus Alive, The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Business First, PRIZMand Columbus Underground wrote about the state-of-the-art facility and CCAD's partnership with the Ohio Film Group. And Good Day Columbus featured the Cloyd Family Animation Center on a recent segment, including a virtual reality demo and a peek at the dedicated stop-motion animation lab.

The Dispatch reported that the center "features a stop-motion lab, virtual-reality drawing stations, an analog drawing studio, digital drawing lab with touchscreen displays, a 25-seat classroom, faculty offices, flex space and a gallery with rotating exhibits. It also is attached to the Ohio Film Group to foster learning opportunities and connections with industry professionals."
