Irah Mulrain (Photography, 2026) is getting hands-on experience learning the ins and outs of running a successful art gallery thanks to a summer internship at the Amber Collective in Detroit.

Columbus College of Art & Design’s Outstanding Senior designation is a longstanding tradition at the school. Faculty members select one graduating student from each major to be the Outstanding Senior for that major. This selection is based on their impressive academic and artistic accomplishments.

Each year, Columbus College of Art & Design identifies the person with the highest grade point average throughout their college career and selects them as valedictorian of their graduating class. This year, Fashion Design senior Dominic Ciucci has earned that distinction.

You may not be able to pick John Musker out of a lineup, but you know his work. The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Moana—and other Disney animations beloved by critics and audiences—were co-written and co-directed by Musker.

Headquartered in Columbus, like many of the world’s biggest retail brands, Bath & Body Works has hired a number of talented, skilled CCAD students and alumni over the years—creative thinkers who have found professional success and fulfillment in their work.

Andrew Levitt (a.k.a. Nina West), drag queen, actor, singer-songwriter, activist and children’s book author, will deliver the Commencement address at the 2024 Columbus College of Art & Design Commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Wexner Center for the Arts’ Mershon Auditorium.

Working from a design brief, CCAD students researched current trends, popular culture, product lines, and manufacturing capabilities to identify new potential categories in a two week sprint.
