Columbus College of Art & Design launches new online store
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Want to show your Columbus College of Art & Design pride without leaving the comfort of your own home?
Now, you can.
Ampersand Emporium, the store for all things CCAD pride, is now online at shopccad.org.
The online store features CCAD gear from tees and sweatshirts to hats and water bottles. And all the work in the store is designed by the CCAD Student Agency or CCAD alumni.
You’ll find CCAD swag you can’t find anywhere else, including vintage-soft T-shirts, an Art Sign-emblazoned Klean Kanteen, and cozy sweatshirts — presented as only CCAD can, with a surreal site designed by CCAD students (and creative direction from Film & Video Adjunct Instructor Mike Olenick).
“Our alumni have been asking for something like this for years,” said Dr. Melanie Corn, CCAD’s President. “We’re glad we can provide CCAD gear to graduates and friends all around the world.”
The online store opened with a soft launch in November — just in time for the holidays. More items will be added to the online store’s inventory in the coming weeks.
The online version of Ampersand Emporium — named after the ampersand in CCAD’s name — comes after CCAD launched the brick-and-mortar operation in early 2017.
The store, located on the first floor of the Design Square Apartments building at 91 Cleveland Ave., came about as part of CCAD’s three-year strategic plan.
Want to visit in person? The brick-and-mortar version of Ampersand Emporium is open Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. And it’ll be open for special holiday hours on the following dates:
- Saturday, Nov. 18: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 25: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 2: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 9: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 16: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The brick-and-mortar store will be closed for Thanksgiving break Wednesday, Nov. 22, through Friday, Nov. 24. The store will be back to normal on Saturday, Nov. 25.
