Fashion Design major

You’ve got the eye for every detail.

In CCAD's Fashion Design degree program, our real-world curriculum will teach you the hands-on, technical skills of design and construction so that you can make your style a reality. With a full palette of colors and fabrics, you’ll bring your individual vision to life in our naturally lit sewing labs. Your long hours and hard work throughout your fashion design courses will help your dreams become reality on the runway during CCAD’s annual Fashion Show. And, immersed in our diverse culture and in the progressive metropolitan city of Columbus (a fashion destination in its own right), you’ll build a unique story and connect with a community that can take your work to retail.

Fashion Design degree facilities

You'll have access to:

  • Six large studios with sewing labs, a pattern and draping lab, a dye lab, a drawing lab, a computer lab with high-end software and a large fabric resource room
  • Professional dress forms in a large variety of sizes which include males, females, and children
  • Lectra Cad systems, Gerber PLM Production, Gerber Accumark including a full size digitizing table, and Mutoh ValuJet textile printer
